The whole building is just Spring itself! The Shell Ginger creations are more diversed. The workshop also received a lot of specified "customized" orders from companies.
They made all kinds of Bags of Shell Ginger, such a local plant, known the world's most environmentally friendly bag and the lightest one.

There is a large creatives shown at the entrance of the ili workshop. It's Shell Ginger Mat. Its primary color is made of natural plants, plus the aboriginal tribe's warm color, that can decorate an entire wall, floor, pillar or tables.

The Pacific Aesthetics of Taiwan defines "ili workshop" as "Beautiful synonymous of Amis". The sentences in the picture are so beautiful that I can not help but write down and translate again :
Wool balls accessories and shell ginger (leaf) knit,
just like the slightly twilight of dawn,
inducing a small, delicate light,
that people could not help but want to wear on the body,
as deeply rooted beauty.
Thanks to Philanthropist Chen Shu-chu, the shell ginger manual bags become famous in 2010 (Republic of China 99 years). Being a greengrocer in Taitung farmers markets, Grandma Chen Shu-chu was selected as one of the 48 heroes of Philanthropy by Forbes Asia. She was also selected as one of the Time 100 for year 2010 in the Heroes category. On July 4, 2010, President Ma Ying-jeou came to Taitung and carried shell ginger baskets to visit Grandma Chen Shu-chu and bought a lot of vegetables. The Shell Ginger Baskets signed by President Ma are now displayed in ili workshop. This is a respect to aboriginal tribes' indigenous cultures.
The person who is in charge of the ili workshop is Gao Family's eldest sister, Gao Mei-zhen. In 2001 (R.O.C. 90 years), Mei-zhen opened the workshop. She teaches Shell Ginger weave and wool ball production. She hopes to devote all her know-how to pass on such a cultural tradition and heritage. She teaches students wholeheartedly and encourage them to open new workshops as to live on their own. This is very rare generosity of mind. She is not afraid of people learning her skills. She just hope there could be more people dedicate into the field and drive up this skillful industry together.

In Shell Ginger creation, you can also weave a whole surface of a larger work, such as wall decoration, or mat, or large installations.
